Zeylik Bizer was arrested by the NKVD in 1937 and charged with 'participation in Zionist and anti-Soviet activities'. He was sentenced to five years in a forced labor camp in Magadan Oblast (Soviet Union) and died in the camp in 1941. He was "rehabilitated" (his name was officially cleared) in 1956.
