Director, JDC Warsaw and JDC Krakow
Isaac Bornstein was one of the four JDC Directors in Warsaw during World War II. In 1940-1941, he directed the JDC Krakow office, where he helped establish the JSS (Jewish Self-Help Organization). Bornstein traveled to Jewish communities in Poland during 1940-41 to distribute JDC funds. In 1943, he was murdered by the Germans in the area of Sosnowiec and Bedzin.
